  • Effective planning, organisation and management of ANDT inspection activities covering both on- and offshore
  • Manage and support the site teams on a day-to-day basis and ensure and maintain appropriate and effective interfaces between Bilfinger Inspection and the client site. Where necessary, also ensure the timely and effective implementation of new working practices and procedures in support of the above.
  • Responsible for all Heath, Safety, Environmental, Quality and Competency aspects in relation to project scopes
  • Responsible for the timely recruitment, induction, training, competency and development of onsite personnel.
  • Develop an awareness of customer needs and implement strategies and systems to meet those needs
  • Prepare CTRs and presentations to support business development activities
  • Conducts site visits (onshore and offshore) to supervise, audit and occasionally support onsite delivery
  • Provide support with respect to the development, validation and implementation of new technology and procedures
  • Provide support with respect to the development, validation and implementation of new technology and procedures
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports as required
  • Support preparation of monthly accounts
  • Undertake additional duties as requested by the NDT Technical Authority

  • Qualified to at least HNC level.
  • Qualified to L2 in at least 3 NDT methods, one of which must be UT, and either Phased Array or TOFD
  • Must be qualified to work offshore in the UKCS
  • PCN L2 qualifications in UT, Phased Array and TOFD (desirable)
  • Experienced in the delivery of both conventional and Advanced NDT methods covering mainly in-service inspection requirements.
  • Experienced in the application of inspection tools and techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret commonly used engineering drawings and data sets including piping isometrics, vessel general arrangements, P&IDs, process flow diagrams and piping schedules.
  • Detailed knowledge of the uses and limitations of conventional and Advanced NDT methods, including surface methods, UT, TOFD and Phased Array.
  • Experienced in the preparation of Cost Time Resource (CTR) estimates and workpacks.
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
