Deputy Service Supervisor, Triton Knoll

MHI Vestas Offshore Wind is a fast-paced international company, rapidly becoming a significant player in the offshore wind industry. We are looking for a Deputy Service Supervisor to assist the Shift Supervisors on our Walk to Work Vessels.

Tasks & responsibilities: You will…

…both have technical, administrative and managing tasks. Together with the Shift Supervisor, you will supply the management with an overview of the site.

You main responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide leadership and be a point of contact offshore
  • Act with integrity and provide coaching with safety issues offshore, including supporting HSE with safety issues, investigations and solutions
  • Assist in delivering morning safety briefs and tool box talks on the vessel
  • Collate turbine performance issues and technical issues from the offshore teams and feedback to site management
  • Provide feedback on technician and subcontractor offshore performance
  • Support site operations and liaise with technical support on technical issues offshore
  • Manage subcontractors offshore
  • Escort visitors and facilitate audits offshore
  • Assist the offshore teams, identifying areas for continuous improvement
  • Provide offshore supervision for large scale tasks (such as main component exchanges)
  • Assist with benchmarking and the sharing of best practices
  • Support Shift Supervisor on weather days with planning, technical issues and organising weather day tasks
  • Deputise in absence of the Shift Supervisor
  • Communicate with the vessel skippers and back office onshore, regarding weather conditions and transfers
  • Assist the offshore team and A/E with documentation improvements and suggestions
  • Skills & experience: Our new colleague…

    …has completed an electrical or mechanical degree from a technical school and/or has completed an apprenticeship. You have at least 2 years of experience from the offshore industry or have worked with high voltage.

    Accepted qualifications are:

  • NVQ L4
  • HNC/HND in mechanical, electrical and/or marine
  • C&G full technological certificate/diploma, passed with Merit
  • Furthermore, you have good English communication skills in both reading and writing and basic knowledge of MS Office. You must have a valid full driving license.

    As a person, you have high technical knowledge and are comfortable working offshore and at heights. You are independent and have good managing skills, and you are a reliable team player. Since you will be asked to travel to other sites when needed, it is important that you are flexible.
