The Business Configuration Specialist is responsible for the quality and support of LR low code solutions and the client platform configurations that are managed in the BA&IS business stream.
The role works with the relevant Digital Business Partner to define best practice, design and implement new service delivery systems, and provide 2nd tier support for existing work delivery and client facing digital systems.
This role will proactively focus on engaging with the business to help them better understand business requirements and explain how to utilise the best tools to solve client problems.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the business follows best practice guidelines, design principles and patterns for all configuration work
Act as a technical SME to the business stream with respect to the configuration of LR low code platforms for internal and external client implementations
Support the business stream configuration teams to understand, support and document the technical / IT requirements for all client projects. For customised configuration projects, this role will be responsible for understanding and documenting the IT requirements directly
Responsible for the development and delivery of complex configuration solutions in the Assurance Information Management System (AIMS) and Assist Info-Exchange database to fully meet the business stream functional requirements, on-time, and within budget. This may include but is not limited to creating / modifying low code tables and data rules to suit business wide or advanced scheme specific needs whilst being mindful of the impacts of doing so to our clients and other business users
Coach the relevant business stream teams on the capabilities and limitations of our business systems including the AIMS/Assist (Info-Exchange) platform so that client expectations are managed, and they fully understand the applications and limits of both systems
Provide clear, thorough, accurate and timely hand-over of IT technical work to the business at the close of a project to allow uninterrupted support for the client or scheme owner
Support of upload/input of client or scheme specific data to allow the initial set-up of a client or scheme to be completed in AIMS where the complexity is out of the scope of the business stream teams
To promote new technologies and existing tools/systems to support new and improved client solutions and experiences, and to champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
You will need:
Minimum of 3 years of IT experience with 1 year of low code development experience on any relevant platform (e.g. PowerApps, InfoExchange, Oracle APEX, Mendex, Outsystems etc…). Experience of data model driven apps would be advantageous
Ability to understand and assess complex and sometimes unfamiliar situations, visualise solutions and see through to resolution and work effectively within a matrix organisation
Proven track record in the development and support of low code or advance configuration IT systems
