Petrofac are currently recruiting an Electrical Engineer to be based in Aberdeen.

The Electrical Engineer shall provide centralised discipline specific support on electrical engineering matters including the assessment of electrical staff competence in order to support the electrical authorisations process.
Co-ordinates with offshore operation personnel for planned and corrective maintenance of fixed and rotating electrical equipment.
Ensures by audit that all switching of LV and HV is in accordance with operational procedures, safety principles, legal requirements and that all registers are maintained accurately.
Is familiar with the appropriate statutory legislation, Safety Case and Safety Management Systems used to support the role. Particularly the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and the Offshore Installations (Offshore Safety Directive) (Safety Case) Regulations 2015.
Ensures all electrical third-party support performs in accordance with the contract deliverables and reports on progress.
Confirms all work carried out by contract personnel conforms to statutory regulations and Petrofac’s Procedures.
Ensures all electrical equipment in hazardous areas is maintained in accordance with BS EN 60079.
Implements, integrates and reviews planned maintenance programmes to meet statutory and vendor requirements, ensuring that all work is accurately recorded.
Ensures all actions assigned within the Petrofac Accident and Incident reporting procedure are closed out within the appropriate timeframe (Synergi).
Visits offshore on a frequency sufficient to ensure that knowledge of staff and key problem areas is maintained.
Supports safety audits, work permit reviews and good engineering practice as required offshore.
Educated to a degree level.
Be or working towards being a Chartered Engineer as defined by the Engineering Council.
Valid Offshore Certifications.
Membership of relevant professional body.
