About the Role
EDF Renewables UK (“EDF RUK”) is one of the UK’s leading renewable energy companies, specialising in wind power and battery storage technology. EDF RUK develops, builds, operates and maintains wind farms and other renewable technologies throughout their lifetime. The EDF RUK portfolio of nearly 1,000 MW consists of 35 wind farms – including two offshore wind farms – and one of the largest operational battery storage units in Europe. In addition, we are seeking to deliver further growth from its own development pipeline or though securing new acquisitions of projects and have more than 2GW consented, in planning and development.
In line with our exciting growth plans, we are looking for a high calibre HR Business Partner to join our recently expanded HR, Communications and HSE team based in Victoria, London.
Reporting to our Edinburgh-based Senior Business Partner, you will provide strong and clear direction, leadership and coaching on people related activities to a portfolio of departments based across a number of our UK sites. With a strong HR Generalist background, you will combine your creative thinking and business acumen to build effective partnerships with our business leaders to support the delivery of the EDF RUK People Plan, leveraging support both from within the EDF RUK Team and broader EDF Energy HR Shared Services where required.
As a joint venture with a growth agenda, the role is required to navigate ambiguity that comes with the business’ growth and evolution. Your experience of change management initiatives and supporting business through change will be the key to success in supporting the delivery of our EDF RUK People Plan

Forge relationships with the business to make a meaningful contribution to business goals, acting as a trusted adviser and coach to leaders and managers.
Anticipate HR issues and needs within the business and develop approaches / responses to address these effectively, managing them through to implementation and ensuring our managers are engaged, trained and equipped to support the delivery of these changes
In conjunction with the Senior HR Business Partner support the delivery of key annual critical people processes such as Workforce Planning, Talent Development, Succession Planning and Compensation & Benefits review
Support the recruitment and selection processes in EDF RUK, ensuring that all hiring requests are aligned to departmental workforce plans. Work in partnership with the EDF Recruitment and Onboarding Teams to ensure talent attraction and selection processes are effective, efficient and modern providing an engaging candidate experience resulting in an improved employer brand and the provision of selection advice aligned to attract high performing talent.
Support the delivery of projects with people implications, with a particular focus in assisting the generation of reporting and data driven insights to identify activity and interventions in support of an improved employee experience
Compile, administer and analyse data linked to cyclical processes to be used for reporting and organisational development purposes
Coordinate implementation of services, policies, and programmes in conjunction with the wider HR team to ensure continuous improvement
Act as an agent for change within the business, supporting the Senior HR Business Partner to ensure that the organisational design/development solutions drive business transformation and change.
Through effective coaching, ensure Line Managers are supported and upskilled to manage their people related issues and, as necessary, engage with the appropriate resources to support them (centres of expertise / shared services).

You’ll be passionate about people and have experience of working in a HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor role, ideally providing HR support to organisations with field and office based employees and/or, multi-site locations
A track record of building good relationships and credibility with business leaders based on solid commercial understanding, effective coaching style and an ability to identify customer needs and go beyond just delivering defined HR solutions
Creative problem-solving skills and have exposure of managing organisational change issues
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding in the areas of change management, performance management, reward management, people development, talent management resourcing and ER/engagement
Ability to get work done and make a difference i.e. performing and delivering business-oriented HR solutions and approaches through influence, coordination, and individual effort
Exposure to working within project groups tasked with launching and delivering new HR initiatives or interventions
High integrity; able to manage sensitive issues with the necessary judgement
