The aims of the marine Natural Capital group of the Marine Ecosystems Team are to:
To achieve these aims we need to make best use of all available evidence and develop trusted products, examples and narratives to promote more sustainable management.
This role, leading on influencing and strategic collaborations, will work closely with a counterpart who will concentrate on building and using our technical evidence-base, to promote Natural Capital in policy, governance, funding and action. Collaborative working with other specialists from JNCC and our partners, including operational marine management staff and advisers, policy advisers, ecologists and economists, makes this a dynamic and exciting job.
JNCC’s remit covers terrestrial, coastal and offshore habitats; the focus of this role is coastal and marine. The majority of the work is in the UK, but there is scope to contribute expertise as JNCC’s portfolio of international projects grows.

JNCC annual leave allowance is 25 days per annum. After five years’ service, leave entitlement increases to 30 days per annum.
