Play a key role in MHI Vestas’ Installation Team

You will work on different projects on our sites, which means that you should expect up to 180 travel days per year. The position is placed in UK but will mainly be offshore. You will work with one or more technicians in a team, where you will act as Offshore Installation Supervisor.

Tasks & responsibilities: You will…

…supervise all installation resources as required by the project plan for the wind farm and take necessary action to comply with MHI Vestas safety and quality standards. You will work conjointly with other members of the installation team, QA/QC team and subcontractors, and perform hands-on work along with the team to ensure that all installation tasks are carried out successfully in a safe and timely manner.

Your tasks will also include:

  • Ensure a safe work practice by complying with our HSE requirements
  • Ensure that your own PPE checks are executed, and monthly check sheets are logged
  • Ensure that the task, responsibilities & plan are clear for all Technicians during and after Toolbox
  • Act as a role model safety wise and lead by example
  • Install and maintain turbines and equipment
  • Plan resources, tools, documentation and spare parts on a daily basis
  • Troubleshoot on spot whenever challenges occur
  • Identify, register and manage deviations
  • Encourage supervisors, technicians and stakeholders to collaborate and share knowledge across function
  • Ensure a sufficient handover is carried out between shifts

  • Hold a technical education (mechanical/electrical) combined with WTG experience
  • Have experience working with electrical/hydraulic diagrams

  • Have excellent English communication skills and can motivate and encourage your team of technicians
