We are looking for an Offshore Wind Farm Technician to join our Humber O&M Team
Carryout maintenance and servicing of wind turbines and balance of plant, including servicing, reactive and proactive maintenance, inspections, modifications, retrofits and main component exchanges.
Work in a small team with minimal supervision.
Work proactively and flexibly to minimise failures and maximise the Energy Yield.
Utilise SCADA systems and other computer based systems to interrogate turbines, to reset faults, to instigate maintenance activities and build up a fault/failure histories.
Be prepared to have a flexible approach to working hours around the weather and workload, to be on call outside normal working hours and flexible to travel to other sites within the fleet.
Preparation of work plans and documentation within SAP.
Maintain maintenance records, electronic and paper, of all work performed on plant.
Proactively assist in all areas of site operations, working on projects, spares and other non-routine works.
Enact a number of roles under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules & E&M rules;
o Authorised Technician
o Competent Technician
Senior Authorised Person (either hold or working towards)
Engage in the development of new, improved field procedures and activities and best practices, this will include assisting with writing Operational Procedures, Method Statements, Work Instructions, Approved Written Procedures.
Proactively identify & take ownership of tasks or projects to improve safety, turbine performance or general working.
Vestas V112 WTG Experience
Experience of being an Authorised Technician under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules
Completed an engineering apprenticeship qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
Experience as a wind turbine technician, related to O&M or commissioning activities.
A sound understanding of HSSE systems, to establish a safe work environment.
Experienced in mechanical, electrical, power electronics and hydraulic trouble shooting and maintenance activities.
Have a proven ability to troubleshoot on complex systems.
Competent slinger and banksman.
Ability to work effectively within a small team with minimal supervision.
Willingness to travel in some special cases to support other off and onshore sites
Good IT Office skills.
First Aid at Work, Working at Heights Training / Tower Rescue, offshore survival & offshore medical
A Full UK Driving Licence.
Good communications skills written and verbal.
