Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is recruiting for a Reliability Technician on the Buzzard platform on a permanent basis.
To perform condition monitoring for vibration and temperature readings
To provide technical expertise to improve physical asset performance through effective application of appropriate reliability improvement tools and techniques.
Timely application of reliability expertise to identify causes and solutions to events (real and probable)
To assist in the development of new or improved enhancement tools and techniques.
Assist in the development and implementation of the Odyssey Programme.
The Reliability Engineer is responsible to the Onshore Field Superintendent for:
Identifying and eliminating defects in a systematic and sustainable way
Acting as a focal point for critical equipment availability and bad actor identification
Conducting reliability analyses to identify priorities for reliability improvement strategies and plans.
Conducting Reliability, Availability and Maintainability studies.
Deriving equipment reliability improvement processes and strategies.
Developing and reviewing equipment maintenance strategies with appropriate sparing policies.
Developing and reviewing operations strategies.
Leading, assisting and coaching others in Root Cause Analyses for reliability driven activities.
Conducting Operations and Maintenance Performance Analysis
Production of regular reports, reliability data & trends as directed.
Monitoring of all actions identified in reliability improvement plans to ensure effective completion.
Providing input to the Facilities Engineering Team to ensure that reliability is designed into modifications, upgrades and new projects.
Carry out emergency response duties as required.
Comply with company training, competency and personal development programmes.
Skills / Qualifications:
A recognised apprenticeship or training scheme.
A minimum HNC or NVQ level 3 equivalent preferred.
Offshore experience in a maintenance environment.
