Our target markets include Oil & Gas (up-, mid- & downstream), (petro)chemicals, the energy sector and the manufacturing industries.

We are currently looking to recruit a Sales & Business Development Manager for UK and Ireland.


Your mission as Sales and Business Development Manager will be to take the Specialty Rental business to the next level of profitable growth – with focus on:

  • Industrial applications, specifically oil-free air, high pressure and Nitrogen.
  • Offshore applications, both in Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy

    As Sales and Business Development Manager, you will report to the Region Manager West of Atlas Copco Rental Europe and be key member of the Atlas Copco Rental UK management team.
    Together with your colleagues, you will be a driving force to grow the Industrial & Offshore rental business in the UK.

    New suitable businesses and applications will also be your focus as well as key account & territory development based on local marketing plans and inputs.

    You will manage the sales team with a high attention on communication, training, coaching and marketing. You will also manage the back-office Rental Desk team and Finance team. Focus will be on continuous customer support, correct administration and on the different divisional KPI’s.

    The position will be responsible to/for:

  • Achieve yearly results and goals as per objectives agreed with the Region Manager and Atlas Copco Rental Europe, with a focus on continuous growth and business development
  • The daily management of the sales & rental desk team
  • Give support to the sales team for large complex enquiries & projects, including regular customer visits
  • Analyse the market and look for opportunities according the 4 dimensions growth strategy : Market segments, Technology, Solutions & Territory
  • Play an active role in price management and follow up the sales & price performance of the sales team with focus on ROR and ROF
  • Support & cooperate with the BDM Steam to further develop the steam rental solutions to our customers
  • Define & support the local UK marketing activities in cooperation with the EU-marketing team of Atlas Copco Rental Europe
  • Achieving customer satisfaction by attaining constant improvement in Net Promoter Score Key Performance Indicators.
  • Manage & support the finance team, with the assistance of the EU-Business Controller and his team
  • Develop strong support to “People Care”, i.e. training and competence development of personnel, including yearly appraisals and follow-up
  • Assure the correct & efficient use of the different IT-tools such as CRM & ERP-packages
  • To safeguard integrity and transparency of operations within the company and the UK management team by being a strong and loyal team player
  • Follow the company policies as stated in The Way We Do Things, including the Business Code of Practice and Compliance issues.

  • Experience requirements

    Several years of sales and/or marketing experience in industrial related sales, rental or services.

    Application, product and sales management experiences in compressed air, nitrogen and electric power equipment are a plus.
    A good understanding of the business requirements needed to operate 24/7 is a prerequisite for this position.

    Educational requirements

    University degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business Studies or equivalent through experience.


    Good communication, planning & organizing skills

    Computer literate (Office365 & CRM package)

    Knowledge of Atlas Copco equipment is a main asset and good knowledge of ‘The Way We Do Things’ is a must.

    You are fluent in English. Knowledge of any other language is a plus.
