Team Purpose and Objectives
To support the industry’s contribution to the energy transition needed for the UK’s to achieve a net-zero
future by 2050. Using the resources and capability of the wider industry to drive change, deliver value and
secure a sustainable future.
We will do this by shaping policy, regulation and delivery in the UK & EU in support of objectives, managing
stakeholder relations with BEIS, HMT, DIT, DEFRA, CCC, HMG, Scottish Gov’t and other devolved bodies,
regulators such as OGA, OFGEM etc. and the broader finance and investment community, providing market
insight which assists the organisation and industry to highlight opportunities and identify risks with
appropriate mitigation.
Job Purpose
working closely with other experts within the organisation to help the industry address the net-
Zero challenge and appropriately reduce their carbon footprints, within the context of a broader
sustainability agenda;
reduction in the oil and gas industry, and through the provision of carbon capture, transportation and
storage services to other sectors, including Hydrogen production, providing appropriate analysis and
strategic insight whilst engaging with industry, regulators and Governments.

Stakeholders: OGUK Board and Membership; Leadership Team; Regulators including: the
OGA, HMT, BEIS, DIT; Ofgem; DEFRA, CCC, HMG and Scottish
Government and other devolved bodies, trade / industry associations and
professional bodies.
Key Accountabilities : (maximum of 11)
Energy Transition and net-Zero agenda,
to GHG emission reduction and CO2 and methane in particular, including the development of
suitable databases,
CCUS and Hydrogen,
implementation once the Deal is agreed,
Climate conference and other aspects of the UN Sustainability Development Goals and advise how
we respond,
organisation,
relations in support of the above team objectives and outcomes.
