Overview / Responsibilities:

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Proejct Engineer based in our Aberdeen offices with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.


Role:

Provide effective stewardship, leadership, commitment and drive in the delivery of engineering excellence for assigned decommissioning projects through the coordination across a range of discipline engineering deliverables.

  • Experienced in applying the Oil &Gas UK decom WBS for onshore / offshore installations and able to provide technical assessment and analysis to develop decom reports & liability estimates.
  • Coordinates a series of activities performed by engineers and designers from a range of engineering discipline to support the timely issuing of engineering deliverables to meet project specifications.
  • Understanding of relevant engineering and HSSE procedures and standards associated with the decommissioning and removal of oil and gas infrastructure.
  • Coordinates a series of activities performed by engineers and designers from a range of engineering discipline to support the timely issuing of engineering deliverables to meet project specifications.
  • Able to structure and facilitate workshops for the development of decom studies, including optioneering across a range of technical, cost, social, environmental and safety criteria.
  • Alerts project management personnel in the event of potential delays or change; supports implementation of approved changes.
  • Ensures wood meets its contractual obligation.

  • Responsibility:
    Work with the project to review, refine and develop the work scopes providing cost effective and innovative decommissioning solutions, which are safe and environmentally acceptable.Work with business services to develop and agree target cost estimates and management/ reporting of cost.Ensure that all changes and additions in scope are captured by the change control process.Monitor and control costs at all stages of the work and ensure cost reports and forecasting is in line with progress.In conjunction with Engineering, Construction and Business Services ensure adequate forecasting on progress and projected expenditure to completion.
  • Skills / Qualifications:

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • HND / HNC in relevant Engineering disciplineExperience in the management of multi disciplined oil and gas projects or other relevant industries Practiced in project control mechanisms and with commercial and technical risk assessments.
